学术研究简介

以生长在海岸带的红树植物为研究对象，主要从趋同进化和全基因组复制等角度，致力于探究生物适应生态环境的基因组机制。生物在适应相同生态环境的过程中是否会选择相似的进化途径，即进化尤其是分子进化是否可预测地重复发生，是进化生物学的核心议题之一。关注于红树植物的趋同进化，我们开发基因组水平检测趋同进化的方法，探究红树植物在适应海岸带极端环境时的基因组多层次趋同进化。同时，我们也关注全基因组复制这一影响植物环境适应和分化的重要力量，探究全基因组复制带来的基因新功能化和可能的趋同进化，以及促进红树植物适应海岸带动荡环境的分子机制。相关研究结果发表在《National Science Review》，《Molecular Biology and Evolution》，《Molecular Ecology》等期刊。
