LIU Yang
Professor / Doctoral supervisor
Position: Associate Dean
Direction:Evolution and Genomics
Research Area:By using methods such as molecular systematics, population genetics, genomics, and ecological field experiments, we aim to investigate the ecological and adaptive evolution of birds, particularly their reproductive and migratory behavior, and explore how evolutionary and ecological factors shape behavioral diversity. Study the systematic classification and geographical distribution of endangered and endemic species in China through morphology, vocalization, niche models, and comparative analysis. Especially exploring the conservation implications of rapid globalization for avian phenotype and genetic diversity.
